Turkey Bacon BLT Pasta Salad with Creamy Ranch Flavor

Medium shell pasta is tossed with crispy turkey bacon, Roma tomatoes, red onion, ranch dressing, black pepper, and shredded romaine for a creamy BLT-style pasta salad.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 16- ounce package medium shell pasta
  • 1 pound sliced turkey bacon
  • 4 ripe Roma tomatoes diced
  • 1 small red onion chopped
  • 1 cup ranch dressing
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 head romaine lettuce shredded, about 3 cups

Method
 

  1. Gather all ingredients.
  2. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook until tender, about 8 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water to cool.
  3. Meanwhile, cook turkey bacon in a large deep skillet over medium-high heat until browned and crisp.
  4. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels. Crumble and set aside.
  5. Combine cooked pasta, 3/4 of the turkey bacon, tomatoes, onion, ranch dressing, and black pepper in a large bowl. Toss to coat.
  6. Mix in shredded romaine lettuce.
  7. Top with remaining turkey bacon and serve.

Notes

Add lettuce close to serving for the best crunch.
Drain pasta well after rinsing.
Reserve some turkey bacon for topping.
